It Has To Be Spring....

there's butterflies! Even if they are made out of cardstock it is still a sign right?  Wisconsin has been so cold, I'm more than ready for some warm spring days.  I have a garage to clean (graduation) and flower beds and garden to work on.  This year, I want to have a bigger garden.  I want our family to start eating a little better and cheaper.   Come on spring....I'm ready!  :)

This is not an original design.  These cute little butterfly easel cards were Bronwyn Eastley's idea.  Aren't they adorable?  They would be great for a girls birthday, wedding, placecards, or just little simple cards or even gift tags.

I like the daffodil delight.  It's so bright and cheery.

BUT I will be honest w/ you--the Perfect Plum is my favorite.  I know that those who have followed my blog for awhile just about fell over w/ that statement.  I know I don't usually like purples, but look at the Perfect Plum butterfly...  beautiful!

If you look up Bronwyn's blog, you will see that I did my easel a little different.  I folded mine down so that it matched the shape of the butterfly.  I don't know if it makes a difference either way, but I went w/ down instead of up.  LOL

For my butterflies I used the Beautiful Butterflies Die (page 206), the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder (page 214) and Rhinestone Brads (page 187).

If you would like the link to the tutorial, please leave me a comment w/ your email and I will send you the link. :)

  37. So glad you enjoyed making these. They're lots of fun aren't they? Perfect Plum would have to be one of my favourite colours too. I only fold the back wings up if I need to hide the brad clasp at the back.
