Stamping for Ronald McDonald

The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families of children with a serious medical condition. It is an amazing organization! Many families travel long distances from their homes and are given a place to stay near the medical facility where their child is being treated. There are currently 271 Houses in 30 countries!

Sherrill Graff, the list mom for our Late Night Stampers group, is passionate about RMHC and has asked SU! demonstrators and stampers alike to help out.
Greeting cards for the children is among the needs for RMHC. As stampers this is where we can help out. If you are interested in helping out by making some cards or have some old greeting cards which you would like to donate to be recycled, please check the links shared below for more info and please know that anything is welcome. Sherrill's goal is to receive another 300 cards this month for the Las Vegas House to help encourage and raise the spirits of the children.

It's a great charity and a wonderful reason to stamp!

Now it's FINISHED...

Last night, there was just something about the Fall Layout I didn't like. This morning, I decided to take one more stab at it before I put it in Evan's album.

So I took off the photo corners, straightened the main image, paper pierced around the pumpkin pie dsp, journaled and I added the words "No seriously--you are" from the retired Absolutely Fabulous set.
Did I do the right thing revamping it?

Fall Scrapbook Page Challenge #33

I participated in the StampinUpLNS challenge this week. It was to design a fall scrapbook page using all current SU! products. I had just the pictures for this challenge! My daughter, Dani took these pictures of Evan back in June. He was so good to put up w/ her.

I decided for this challenge to do a progressive page, so no matter what size album....this layout has them all!
8 X 8

8 1/2 X 11

12 X 12

I love the little tag and clip!

My punched pumpkin using wide ovals, 5 petal flower, a little handcut stem, and a SKINNY piece of cardstock! :)
Recipe:

Go Go Boots Title

Brenda Tapp was so sweet and sent me a title using SU! Go Go Boots die cut letters for my scrapbook page. Well actually she sent me the title in 2 colors Bashful and Old Olive. She was so nice to put up w/ my indecision! Thanks, Brenda! :) I thought it would be neat to put Evan's name on his page so I took the Old Olive title and modified a couple letters to make a V and an N. I thought it turned out pretty good!
Now I have to journal on the page and I can put it in his EMPTY scrapbook. This is my first page for him.

SU! LNS Challenge #32

The challenge for this week was to take a project in the current SU! Catalog CASE it just a little different. I'm a professional CASEr so this was just the challenge for me. My first challenge and my first try at watercoloring...I might add!
I took the scrapbook layout on page 90 of the catalog using the Sock Monkey set.
- I used the Pun Fun set.
- I changed the colors (pumpkin pie, bashful blue, old olive and close to cocoa)
- I flipped the layout over
- I left the old olive rectangle as a journaling block
- I used stars, a rhinestone brad and bashful blue and pumpkin pie ribbon.
AND FINALLY
- I used the CUTEST LITTLE BOY'S Photos. Mr. Evan! :)

Placecards for Concert

This is the biggest thing I have ever been asked to do....and frankly, I'm terrified!

My sister is hosting a private concert mid-September featuring country singer, Royal Wade Kimes. She has reserved seating for 100 guests and has asked me to make the placecards. She wants the cards to have a patriotic theme and to 'dress up the tables' a bit. My sister is very down to earth-- I'm hoping she will like my first attempt...

What do you think?

Wild Paper

I have so much paper from the days of working at the scrapbook stores. Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do with--or what I was thinking when I bought all of it!!
I decided to be brave and try out this WILD PAPER. This is what I came up with.

Thank You's

Thank you to Lisa for sharing with me how to make A LOT of cards using our designer series paper. I started by cutting 2 sheets of coordinating dsp into 3 3/4" X 2" pieces. I could get 16 pieces from each 12" X 12" sheet. I cut white cardstock to make the base of the A2 card and another coordinating color into 4" X 5 1/4" mats.

I made a quick 6 thank you's for a wedding gift. I do plan to make 25 total to get the bride started on her thank you's.

Desk Set

There is the sweetest girl, Erica at our church. She is getting married tomorrow and I wanted to give her something special. I made her this card box set using this tutorial by Alysabeth Johnston. It's just a handful of thank you's, but I plan on giving her more, but the box only holds about a half dozen. I also had a personalized SU! return address stamp made with their new address, a basic black ink pad and a roll of stamps. I am practical. :)

Fold, Crawl, Refold--repeat

There hasn't been a lot of stamping the last few days, because Evan has figured out he can crawl, stand up and go up stairs.
Today, I was hanging out laundry and trying to get it folded. So this is how my day went...Fold. Evan crawls through the folded clothes and I refold....
Tomorrow....Repeat?

Punching Flower Pot

I'm a little crunched for time. Shhhhh! don't tell but, I am a bit of a procrastinater. I had to make my big sis a QUICK birthday card. I can't wait to try this again when I have more time, but right now this card has to go in the mail!
Since I don't have the Big Shot, I used only punches to create this card. There's absolutely NO STAMPING! yikes! Next time....

If you would like to make a cute little flower pot like this one, there is a great printable template that Andrea Walford shared. Here's the link.
Card Recipe:
DSP: Old Olive
CS: Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Old Olive
Accessories: 1/2" circle punch, scalloped punch, 5-petal flower punch, Rich Razzleberry ribbon, scallop edge punch
