Ho ho Ho! Santa Gift Certificate

I hope you had a very Merry Christmas!   The girls and I made and frosted cookies on Christmas Eve and then pulled out all the Classic Christmas DVDs and snuggled up in the living room and watched our favorites.  Our favorite seems to be "The Grinch" with Jim Carrey.  Christmas morning, we got up early made Santa pancakes and opened presents. I made a nice lunch.  We spent the rest of the day enjoying having no place to go.  :)

***The Holiday Mini Catalog is ending on January 3rd. There are so many great products in that catalog. If you still have some on your 'want list', be sure to put in your order right away.

Stampin Up! announced that the adorable Stocking Builder Punch will not be carried over. Once this catalog ends, you will no longer be able to purchase it. I have seen it used it in so many cute ways over the last few months. Everything from stockings to baby booties to hobby horses. To order yours before they are gone, you can go to my online store or email me your order.

Now that Christmas is over I can share Joni's gift certificate.
My brother in law, Josh asked me to send him a gift certificate for my sweet sister in law, Joni. I had a bunch of the generic gift certificates from SU!, but I wanted something cute for Josh to give her.  What a wonderful husband to give his wife SU! products. ♥

Here's the front of the gift cerificate.  It's a standard A2 size.  I wanted to fancy it up w/ ribbons and other embellishments, but I was afraid it wouldn't make it through the mail.

Here's the inside.  Yeah, it's a little cheesy, but....  Santa Claus must be from Wisconsin because he LOVES CHEESE!  LOL

The Sweetest Gifts

Today, I picked up the mail and I found a package from my stampin' friend, Ret Cudmore.  I was so touched by this unexpected gift, tears welled up in my eyes.  It is those unanticipated gifts that are the most special and just touch your heart.  They are simple signs of friendship and bring back the true meaning of Christmas that is all too often forgotten in the last few days before the holiday.

Inside I found a tidy little bundle of goodies tied with a beautiful striped SU! ribbon.

I carefully slid of the ribbon and found 2 crochet-topped kitchen towels (one with snowmen and the other with lighthouses).  I love these towels.  We always have one on the fridge door.  There was also a scrubbie, a chocolate bar (YUM!) and handmade card.

Here's the card Ret sent me.  I love it!  It's made w/ that tall snowman from the set Snow Much Fun that l like so well.  Ret even cut him out and popped him out!  He's so cute!

Thank you, Ret!
~Merry Christmas to you and yours and a Blessed 2012~

It's a Beautiful Season

Ohhhh it's a fun challenge this week over at Krista's Cards & Things Challenges!  I love this color challenge. More often than not, I look forward to the sketch challenges and cringe at the color challenges.  This week, I knew immediately what I wanted to make.  Although finding time to escape to the basement was far more challenging!  :)

Here is my card.  I know it looks sort of misshapen, but that is because it is a z-fold.  I love how it turned out.  I really like the ribbon.  I think that it just adds just the right amount of WOW to the card.

Are you wrapping up your holiday preparations?  I done shopping, but need to wrap gifts, send cards and bake.   I haven't got much time.  I better pour me some eggnog and get busy!  :)

Jolliest Time of the Year

I have been having a great time with this cute little Santa from the Jolliest Time of the Year set.  I have had this set since it first came out, but I was never sure I liked it.  I didn't like the sketchy outline. I decided to give this cute little guy a chance.  I pulled out my ink pads and aqua painter and started watercoloring.  I love how he turned out. I did his face w/ the Blush Blossom and Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Markers.  I was happy how he has rosy cheeks and nose.

I made the sentiment in MDS.  I found the Kentucky Fried Chicken font online and had to try it out.  It is a little bolder than some of the other fonts I use--I like it!  LOL  :)

Thank you, Libby!

I know this is horrible, but about a month ago I received a nice little surprise in my email.  I didn't have time right then to complete the requirements.

Christmas Mini Magazine Holder

It's another day closer to Christmas and my Christmas spirit has not arrived yet.  I need to do my shopping, baking and cards for the season. I am just not in the Ho Ho Holiday mood yet.  I think it's because there is no snow in Wisconsin and a lot of dreary days.  C'mon snow!  Eeek! Did I really say those words TOGETHER?!  Maybe tomorrow I will head out and do some shopping.  Now if only everyone on my list wanted stamps--then I'm ALWAYS in the mood to shop.  LOL

I made an extra handful of these cards last month and thought I would give them as a gift in a mini magazine holder.

Here's my magazine holder. I went with a sentiment that was not SU! Something like it could easily be made using MDS.

Hat & Mittens

I bought several of these little tins when they were on the clearance rack.  They were just the right size for a game of Hats and Mittens

Each little bottlecap is magnetic--much easier to keep track of.  :)
I covered each piece w/ an epoxy dot to protect it.

Ready for a game? I would even let you go first. LOL

Cleaning Out the Craft Fair Leftovers

***UPDATE***  All craft fair items have been sold!  Thank you and Happy Holidays!
~Wendy

The craft fair is OVER!  I survived--just barely! I think I did pretty well, but I made 5 times the amount
of stuff for the craft fair that I should of for the space available.  LOL--I was worried that my booth would
look empty.    I had stacks and piles and honestly didn't have enough room to get it all out.
I have some leftovers that will not keep until the next craft fair so I would like to offer them to you.
This is a first come first serve sale.
I will try to update listing often.  :)

Please email me at stampiepoo@gmail.com w/ your requests and zip code and region.  I will get back to you with availability and price.

Here's Tube You...

Riley Kate and I had a good time filling test tubes w/ M&Ms.  It is always nice when she comes to help me in the craft room.  We have good talks and I think it's moments like those that make great memories.
We filled 40 test tubes and only ate the 'defective' candies.  It was difficult for both of us, but we found out it was IMPOSSIBLE for Terry when he came to see what us girls were doing.  He ate as many as he could sneak when Riley Kate wasn't looking.  :)

I decorated each test tube w/ a little tag and notice the quilted ribbon.  Isn't it pretty?

Do you have someone that is just a little naughty on your Christmas list?

Quilted Bags

I made several bags for last week's craft fair.   I made two of the teal and brown bags.  The first one sold right away and I panicked.  I loved the fabrics.  I immediately shoved the other bag under the table for me.  LOL  Yeah, I'm never going to make a lot from craft fairs if I keep shoving everything I make for them  out of sight and taking them back home.

Oh well--I {heart} my bag!
AND I have enough fabric to make a matching checkbook cover.  :)
I made a bunch of black and orange bags for the craft fair. I know black and orange what a color combination.  They are great for Halloween and if you happen to be in a school district that has these as school colors.

I have some leftover. So if you are interested in one let me know.  It would be $4.95 to ship in the US.

The Lost & Forgotten..

I am not good at brayering.  I would love to be a brayering genius like Michelle Zindorf, but I am not.  I did dig out my brayer and blow off the dust and attempt a card.

The hardest part--the snow on the trees. Huh... who knew? LOL

This is not an original card.  I seen a card like it when I was blog surfing one night. It it resembles yours, please let me know.  I would like to give you credit for the inspiration and link up w/ your blog.

You Are My Little Nugget....

Nothing says "I Love You & Appreciate You" like chocolate wrapped up in a pretty package and tied w/ a bow.   Well honestly, I would just take the chocolate (especially if it is mixed w/ peanut butter), but it sure is PURTY wrapped up for the holidays! Nugget tins sure make a s-w-e-e-t gift!

I think the red birds and ribbon really make this tin POP! :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Old Olive, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip together.  How about you?  YUM!!

Not so girly (surprised I made it?  ME TOO!! )--I love the jute twine!

The bow, trim, CS,  peppermint candy and sentiment stamps are all SU!, but I could resist the pattern paper I found when I was out shopping a couple of weeks ago. I knew it would be just perfect w/ the litle candy.  :)

Get The Skinny...

Oh how I wish I could get a case of the skinnies.  If I could bottle it up and shed the pounds what a delightful feeling that would be.  BUT ALAS, there is Christmas cookies, fudge and ham... so here's the only skinnies I have to show you during this month.  :)

Skinny Notepads

I can't decide which is my favorite.  What's yours??

PocketBac Parade part 2

It's SNOW MUCH FUN!!   This is such a fun set and I find myself using it often.  I did break out a new stamp from the set--the cute Christmas tree w/ the little bird perched on top.  I don't know why I waited so long to use it.   Silly me!

Oh and I found a new color combination that I {HEART}.  It is pear pizzazz, tempting turquoise and rich razzleberry.  Are you brave enough to try that one???

I had a few scraps left from some other projects.  I love the certainly celery ribbon!

Bermuda Bay you say!  Yep yep--I found it stashed away!

Little birdie how cute you are w/ your little turquoise belly!

PocketBac Parade part 1

I have been making a lot of pocketbacs for stocking stuffers this year.  I thought this was a wonderful idea especially since EVERYONE in our house is sick!  Terry got a nasty cold from his brother and gave it to Evan.  Evan, being the nice boy he is, shared it with his mom.  Well not to be grinchy during the holiday season, I passed it on to Riley Kate.  (Dani has never been so happy to be living in a dorm.) Evan and I have been sick for about a week and Terry several days longer than that.  I'm ready to be able to breathe again!

This group of pocketbacs has my favorite little girl showcased in each of them.  It's amazing how she looks great in any color.  Maybe it's her Blush Blossom complexion.  LOL

PoP..pOp...PoPcOrN

I'm getting ready for holidays by thanking all those people in our lives that make our everydays better.  You know the school secretaries, the bus driver, the teachers, the librarian (my daughter loves to read and requested one for the school librarian), the mailman.  In our case, we also remember Evan's therapists, chiropractor, teachers and aides.  This year one little gift they will receive is popcorn sleeves.  I make A LOT of sleeves.  They go fast--we can always think of someone else to give a little something to especially during the holidays.

Christmas, Christmas, Christmas....

Are you gearing up to make your Christmas cards?  If so, this is just the color challenge for you.  Krista's Cards & Things Challenge this week has great colors to kick up your Christmas creativity.

Using the same sketch, I made two different cards.  The first card is your standard A2 size w/ a whisper white background.  It turned out pretty cute, but I thought I wanted to try something different and check out the results...
This second card is a 4 1/4" square card.  The nice thing about this size is that you can still use your A2 envelopes and there's no extra postage.
This card has a crumb cake background w/ whisper white craft ink swiped over out to  make it look just a little frosty.  I love that look.

Which card do you like best?
Are you making your Christmas cards this year?

If you would like to order any supplies to make your cards this year, please email me.  I would be happy to get your items ordered and ship to you right away so you can give handmade cards this year.  :)
