Diggin' Dinosaurs

It will be soon be Valentine's Day.  I thought it would be nice to make Valentine's for Evan's therapists and teachers.  Evan loves the show "Dinosaur Train" on PBS.  When I spotted the Dinoroar set on page 93 the Idea Book & Catalog, I knew that I had to make some little cards using it from Evan.

Luckily, Krista had just the right colors for my card this week.  :)

Here's Evan's Valentines!

Card Recipe:
Dinoroar stamp set
Soft Suede Cardstock
Watercolor Paper
Aqua Painters
In-Color DSP stack 2010-2012
Twitterpated DSP (Occasions Mini)
Sponge
Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and Peach Parfait Ink Pads

Celebrating Sale-a-bration

After counting down the days, it's time to celebrate!  It's Sale-a-bration.  It is my favorite time of the year to be an Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  This is the time when my customers (and myself) can take advantage of Sale-a-bration and earn a freebie with every $50 spent.
I took some time to make another card using the Everyday Enchantment dsp and the Fresh Vintage stamp set from the SAB (Sale-a-bration) catalog. I used the sketch challenge from Krista's Cards & Things Challenges. It's a cute sketch.

I love the stamp!  Isn't it beautiful?  I used Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Lucky Limeade and Pool Party Stampin' Write markers to ink it.

Finishing touches--a few little pearls, some ruffled ribbon and I even got out my sewing machine to add a few stitches.  ;)

Want  instructions for some cute little Valentine's Day projects?
I have my P.S. I Love You class all ready for you on a PDF file for $2.00.
Please email me if you are interested!

This is my very first time offering a class, I would love your feedback.

Countdown to Sale-a-bration!

There is only one week left before the start of Sale-a-bration.  Do you have you SAB mini pages dogearred? I know that I wanted several of the freebies in the SAB and had to devise a plan. LOL  Did you know that SAB required strategy?!  It does-- especially when SU! outdoes themselves w/ such beautiful products.

Today, it's time for another Cards & Things Challenge. I thought I would tease you a little with the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper from the SAB.

P.S. I Love You Valentine's Day Class

2012 in Wisconsin started out like a lamb.  The first week and a half of January felt more like late March or early April.  I was outside hanging out laundry on the line in a t-shirt and sweatpants. When I would take Evan for therapy, I would put him in a light hooded sweatshirt.  The chickens were digging holes in my yard to take their dirt baths.  I love the chickens for the most part, but I haven't figured out why they need to make holes right up by the house big enough to bury a body in. Okay maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but they do make bigger holes than I think they need. :)
The weather turned colder Thursday and we finally have some snow. It is beautiful so clean and white. The chickens have been shut in the coop and we are getting eggs again. Hmmmm...makes me wonder where they were stashing them when they were out. We often play egg hide and go seek here.  lol

I had my Hostess Club Ladies last Tuesday night.  It was nice to concentrate on something ANYTHING other than Christmas cards.  I wanted to make something cute and cheery.  I had a great time designing this class.  I love this little chocolate dipped strawberry stamp and couldn't wait to use it.  It is in  P.S. I Love You stamp set on page 8 of the Occasions Mini.

I have made a PDF file with all the supplies, dimensions and assembly directions for this class. If you would like to use paypal to  purchase the PDF for $2.00, email me at stampiepoo@gmail.com .  I will email the PDF within 24 hours of receiving your payment.

Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek

In less than 3 weeks, Sale-a-bration begins! If you don't want to see the prettiest DSP offered in the Sale-a-bration stop here.  BUT I really think that you DO want to keep reading this post, because it's GORGEOUS!  It has a vintage look to it w/ the darkened edges.  It was just perfect for another altered stamp case.   Hmmmmmm....I wonder what else I 'need' to order, because I would love to earn a few more packs of this paper!

Again, poor Evan's picture made on this girly dsp, but hey he's still smiling so it must be okay.  :)

I really like the inside of this case. It's so pretty.  The colors are amazing!

I am a pocket junkie!  I LOVE the pocket.  LOL

An Open and Shut Case

Hostess Club is coming up and I wanted to do something fun w/ the group.  I have had a couple packages of Clear Stamp Cases (#119105) and some legal pads in my stampin' room since last spring.  This fall I finally remembered to take the legal pads with me to Madison (OfficeMax) to be cut so they would fit in the cases. These cases hold a 5 x 7 or smaller legal pad.

Here's a picture of the empty cases from Stampin' Up!.  They come in a package of 4 cases for $5.95.

We are using the Twitterpated DSP from the new Occasions Mini catalog. Here's the case I made as in example.  How does Evan look w/ the flowery background?  :)  I thought the dsp was a little feminine for the little guy. Until I print off some other pictures, Evan will be the main attraction on my case. Darling....

I love the inside of the case. I wan't quite sure about the front and back of this dsp side by side, but I think it's pretty fininshed.

On the left, I made a simple pocket out of cardstock. The pocket is my favorite part of the case.  I think it's the pop of the Riding Hood Red cardstock.

Also on the left, a calendar. That's always a must for me when I'm jotting down notes and appointments on the go.

Oh I forgot to put the pen in the photo, but there is one. I didn't have any RSVP pens which would have been my first choice.  Luckily, I did find a brand spanking new pack of black Bic pens in my stash.

I hope the Hostess Club enjoys making cases.  Now that you have seen this "Open and Shut Case", what do you think?

What you need:
Clear Stamp Case
Blushing Bride DSP
Twitterpated DSP
Riding Hood Red Cardstock
Whisper White Cardstock

Pear Pizzazz Cardstock
Double Ribbon Punch
Sticky Strip and Snail
Scoring tool
Small Calendar
5 x 7 (or smaller) Legal Pad

Be My Valentine

I spent the day in my Stampin' Room today, unfortunately there was very little stamping.  I had to clean it up.  It was an absolute disaster.  You know it's bad when your husband starts to notice and begins talking about it. He is not a tidy man so I knew my room was truly horrible.
I was very proud of myself when I got everything cleaned up off the floor.  It was wonderful to be able to walk around w/o tiptoeing to avoid stepping on stacks of dsp, catalogs, scraps and ribbon.
Then I looked at my table. [sigh] I found everything that was no longer on the floor!  My table was teetering piles of dsp, catalogs, scraps and ribbon. LOL  I wonder where all that could have come from.

You can begin ordering from the new Occasions Mini Catalog starting on January 4th.  I took a few minutes to make a little valentine's box that holds 4 Hershey's nuggets. I used the new P.S I Love You set.  It's a great set w/ everything you need to make your honey a Valentine.  :)

If you would like a copy of the new Occasions Mini, email me and I will mail one out to you.

I will be offering a 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon Share.  I will get back to you with the details.  It's beautiful!  You won't want to miss this one!

Also, I wanted to share this adorable little card I received from the talented Krista Driessen.  She is such a sweetheart!  I found this darling card in my mailbox a couple days ago.  I just love it. Thank you, Krista!

Don't forget about the Clearance Rack Blitz ending on January 5th
That's a lot of great deals to be had on retired products!

Tonight, I'm hoping to sleep better than last night.  Our dog, Pooch barked all night.  We live in the boonies and she rarely barks (she is a poor excuse for a guard dog).  I would jump everytime she would bark. I would just fall back to sleep and she'd start again. I swear she barked for HOURS!   I worry about the chickens, cats, goats and sheep.  There are a lot of coyotes where we live.  They have killed some of the neighbors' sheep.  Happily, all our animals are safe and sound, but this old girl needs some Zzz's tonight.
