Calorie Free Giveaway

In the last week, my blog hit 60,000 hits and then this morning I weighed in and I am down 20 pounds. What a great feeling especially first thing on a Monday morning!   I have reached my first weight loss goal to lose 20# before Valentine's Day.

As most of you know by my ticker that I have a goal to lose 111 pounds in 2011. I'm plugging away and determined to get there.  I have some mini goals set through out the year.  If I stay on track and meet these goals there will be blog candy to celebrate--non fattening of course.  :)

Today,I have a brand new clear mount Because I Care stamp set that is just itching it to be inked up.

Here's how to enter to win.  #1 Leave a comment giving me a great weight loss or stamping tip. #2 Add your email address to the comment or email it to me at Stampiepoo@gmail.com with the Subject of "Blog Candy"  #3 OPTIONAL: Become a Follower of my blog and I will put your name in twice doubling your chances to win.

A name will be randomly drawn first thing Sunday morning, February 13th and announced on Valentine's Day, February 14th.

  1. What a nice blog candy, Wendy. I am a follower. My tip is that my husband added a bar to my desk that I store my most used punches on. They hang perfectly and my punches are always right within reach when I need them. drinckel at yahoo dot com

  2. Congrats on your weight loss. I reached my goal a year ago and have kept it off so far. I just take it one day at a time and sometimes one meat at a time. Remember nothing tastes as good as slim feels. I am already following your blog. Came over from LNS.

  7. Congrats! I only lost 4 pounds in the same period, so you are much more focused than I am, but 4 lbs is 4 lbs that these old knees have to carry! I am so happy for you, keep it up!

  10. Congrats on your accomplishments. Thanks for sharing your weight loss with us; what an inspiration. Wishing you the very best. A stamping tip from me--I have limited supplies but one of my favs is the modern label punch. I punch two, one in complimenting color, cut it in half and use it to layer at the ends. So while not a complete double layer, it does look really good.

  12. Loosing 20 pounds is just awesome. I know how hard it can be. I am also trying to loose weight. My tip is to put on exercise clothes right away in the morning. That way I am more likely to exercise. I really liked your coaster calendars and valentine cards.

  13. Woot Woot congratulations! That's amazing, I only lost 5 lbs this month also. Believe it or not I have discovered drinking more water and less coffee seems to be helping anyhow keep up the great work!!! teresa@thescrappinmama.com

  14. Wow - 20 pounds is GREAT! My tip - Don't forget about coffee filters. When embossing, work over the filter. Excess powder is so easy to pour back into a jar when it follows the preset lines in the filter. Keep up the good work.

  17. Congrats on both your blog hits and your weight loss! It doesn't sound like you need any tips on either thing:-) But I'll give it a shot... I have stamped all of the images from every set I own in a notebook marked with the set location (I store them in drawers and I have the drawers numbered)so when I want to stamp I simply flip through my notebook to pick out the images and words that I want to use for my card. It helps me remember what stamps I have and so I use them more.
Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win! I am already a follower. Does that get me a double entry:-)?

  20. AWESOME job on the weight loss!!!! I am also trying to lose weight...30 lbs total...so far since the beginning of the year I've lost 5 lbs....not as good as yours, but I'll take it as a start. Since my birthday was in January, and we have no money to join a gym, I asked my hubby to get me The Biggest Loser Challenge wii game as a present. At first I thought we would be horrified at seeing my actual weight on the screen (not thrilled with that part), but he wasn't and he's motivating me to exercise almost every day for 20-30 each time. I have to build up my endurance to work out for longer periods of time. So my exercise tip for you would be to get that game (or something like it) to play at home when it's too cold to go out, or when you can find every excuse in the book not to go to the gym, and find someone (your husband, kids, a friend) that you are accountable to to help you work out. One of the best things about that game is that there are challenges where you compete against the person you are playing/working out with....the challenges REALLY help me because I am very competitive so it pushes me harder!!
Congrats on all the blog hits as well!!!

  21. Congratulations on the weight loss and the blog hits gain....Like so many others, I am changing my lifestyle and loose those unwanted pounds. I am on WW and 2 wks ago our leader gave a challenge to walk up 53 steps a day and in 30 days you would reach the top of the empire state building...she is giving prizes away at the end of the 30 days and even though I don't need the prizes (whatever they are) it has motivated me to climb the steps and that exercise helps me to want to eat less or make better choices. You have to do the 53 steps up at one time and since the weather is ugly and I leave on one floor...I walk down the basement and then up 5 times. a stampin' tip, when you have a small piece of cardstock to use in a punch, take a post it note and press the sticky part on the edge of the cardstock to be your handle so that you can use the small piece of cardstock and punch it easier. I will add myself as a follower too.

  22. CONGRATULATIONS! I don't want to enter for the blog candy, but I do want to say, "You go girl!" Way to go -- losing weight is always hard because you can't quit eating like people who can quit smoking, drinking or whatever. This is fabulous and I'm in your corner! I'll be watching to see when that next 20 pound milestone is reached -- fabulous you!

  23. Wow. Way to go. I am only down 5 lbs. But it will come. Thanks so much for sharing again, and the chance to win some blog candy. Love checking here, and getting the mails from you.

  24. Congratulations on your weight loss journey!! You've done such a remarkable job! I've been so encouraged by reading your blog with your weight loss and inspiration from your stamping ideas.
What is a tip from me?:
Reading my Bible.....God's word and instruction on how to live my life to the fullest.
Philippians 4:13 I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Taking 'can't' out of your vocabulary......it looks like you've done that already!!!
    Keep up the awesome work!

  29. Congrats on your weight loss and your blog hits. My stamping tip is to punch a few extra or stamp a few extra tags when you are making cards and keep them in a baggie, so when you need a card quickly - you'll have some pieces handy to throw something together. Audrey R in Austin

  30. Congrats, Wendy, on achieving both milestones. Keep up the great work. Hopefully these tips will help you with your weight loss: exercise any time you have a few minutes as time adds up throughout the day; drink water before eating; put your food on a smaller plate and don't eat seconds. Best of luck and thanks for the chance to win your calorie-free giveaway. I am already a happy follower of yours!

  31. WOW! Way to go on both of your accomplishments! It sound like you are well on your way to your goals on weight loss! And your hits speak for itself! Your blog is awesome! As far as tips, the only thing I can think of that really helped me lose my weight was walking everyday! It not only helped me lose weight but it made me gave me more energy to do a lot more things that I would have been too tired to do!
Thanks for being so generous and for the chance to win an awesome giveaway! I am already a follower!

  33. Congrats on your weight loss and blog hits. I found your blog through LNS and came to look at the baby card (very cute), then spent some time browsing your blog and decided to sub to it. I don't have a weight loss tip since I'm a very fluffy person, but a stamp tip.... I didn't come up with it, but recently saw it on a blog. Get sticker paper where it's all one sheet. Cut a piece to fit on your BS dies, then run it through the BS. Now peel off the part that cut out, and leave the outline. Now you can easily see if a scrap of CS will fit over the part that will cut. You can also write on the outline of the sticker paper how big a piece of CS you need for each element on the die.
