Royal Blog Tour Candy

First of all thank you for visiting my blog. I really appreciate everyone that took the time to participate in the Royal Blog Tour, but I especially appreciate those who took the time to leave such nice comments about my projects.

I didn't choose a stamp set for making fancy cards and gifts, but I rather choose a stamp set that was more me. No...not stinky....silly! LOL I wasn't sure if my projects would be as appreciated as those that were absolutely stunning. Thanks for making this simple girl feel like she was part of the big league! ♥

Now on to the good stuff-----

The Castle of Pun Fun

Welcome to my Castle--thank you for joining us on the Royal Blog Tour.
For this royal occasion, I have chosen the set, Pun Fun. It's a cute little set that has a little bit of everything making it versatile.

Now on to the Royal Projects......

My first project is a card and nugget tin set using the little skunk and the Play Date dsp. This is my favorite stamp in the sets. I'm partial to skunks. I think it was growing up watching Looney Tunes w/ Pepe LePew.

It's amazing how that little stem holds up that great big flower on the card isn't it?! I couldn't help myself. The bigger the flower the better.

My second project is for those who are feeling a little under the weather. I made a Soup Caddy and matching card. Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup is the cold/flu food at our house. Everyone loves it and when you aren't feeling well and your nose is stuffy--it just hits the spot.

The little whale looks so happy colored in Pear Pizzazz. I love the Celebrations dsp. Isn't it bright?!

My Last Project is a little 'thank ewe'. I made a box just big enough for a bottle of Bath & Body Works Handsoap. My favorite scent--Fresh Market Apple. Yum! I want to give it so someone that deserves a big 'Thank Ewe!" from a cute little lamb.

Here's the top of the box... A little satin bow to finish it off.

Royal Blog Tour

Welcome to my humble castle. I'm so excited to to show you my projects and hope you enjoy them 'royally' . Please don't leave without entering your name and email address for my Royal Blog Candy. Enjoy the Tour!! :)

All my projects on this tour will feature the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.

This first project uses the Thoughts and Prayers images from Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio. I never thought in a million years that I would enjoy making digital cards, but they are so quick to make and so easy to share.

One of the great things about using a digital program, I can sew much straighter with MDS than I can in real life! Plus by the time I remember to send the Get Well Card using snail mail, the recipient is already well. With My Digital Studio technology is grand! LOL

My second project is a little deskset. I love to have a pretty little set on my desk so I can drop a quick note to someone that needs a some encouragement and support. Don't these colors scream spring?

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers

Cardstock: Rose Red, Whisper White, Soft Suede

DSP: Thoroughly Modern

Ink: Soft Suede

Accessories: Large and Scallop Oval Punches, Bone Folder, Eyelet Border Punch, Pretties Kit, Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon

This third card is the favorite at my house. I found a wonderful tutorial by Dawn Griffith for the plastic bag double slider and knew it was just the thing for a masculine card. I know that my husband loves the interactive cards.

Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers, Sanded

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip

Stampin' Write Markers: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke

Accessories: Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Choclate Chip Corduroy Button, jumbo eyelet, linen thread

My last project features the BRAND NEW SU! Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder available in the Summer Mini Catalog May 1st. I couldn't resist giving you a royal preview of this beautiful background. Isn't it amazing how a plain piece of cardstock can be turned into something this gorgeous with a Big Shot and a embossing folder?!

Card & Box Recipe:

Stamps: Great Friend (For You sentiment), Thoughts and Prayers

Cardstock: Coral Cameo (retiring color), Old Olive, Whisper White, Kraft

Ink: Old Olive

Stampin' Write Markers: Old Olive, Coral Cameo, Barely Banana (mixed w/ Coral Cameo to make the lighter flowers)

Accessories: Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, Old Olive Satin Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Button, Twine, Big Shot, Square Lattice Textured Embossing Folder (available 5/1), Bitty Box die
